As directed by our Father in the Lord, Pst E.A. Adeboye, the church is starting 50 days of Fasting with Prayers starting from Saturday 11 January to 29 February 2020.
Do you always find yourself overwhelmed by life challenges? Do you feel like success is unattainable? Is a spiritual attack from the kingdom of darkness appears unstoppable? If so, you are far from alone. Jesus says in Matthew 11:12 (NLT) “And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it”. Our attacking power is not physical, not by strength of man, they have divine power to demolish strongholds (2 Cor 10:4). That power is in Prayer and Fasting.
Prayer is essential and supernaturally powerful. Prayer is how we live in abundant of our God. It is divine mechanism God has given us to pull down root out and tear down, to destroy and overthrow devil’s kingdom and to build and to plant God’s purpose in 2020. Jere 1:10.
However, the enabler power and energizer within us require spiritual energy to align us with the will and purpose of God. The Bible says for we do not know how to pray but the Holy Spirit helps our infirmity, (Rom 8:26) How? By suspending natural self. Fasting never manipulates God or twists His arm to obey us, it only provides a spiritual atmosphere for us to prepare for the move of God and spiritually ready for the next move. Prepare you for total obedience to God and prepare you for spiritual receptivity.
As you fast, your faith begins to explode, your spiritual insight begins to grow, your understanding of the Kingdom’s principles enlightens.
Fasting is not for strong, it is for the weak, common, frail and ordinary people who realized they desperately need God in their life.
The power of God starts with Fasting. Matthew 17:17-21. If you cannot overcome the power of your belly, how can you overcome the power of the spiritual enemy? How can you root out, destroy the weapon of the enemy and builder greater tomorrow?
